How accurate is this construction cost calculator?
It gives a reliable ballpark using the same per-sqft package rates we build to, plus real add-on and interior rates. Your final cost still depends on soil and site conditions, design complexity and the exact materials you choose — which is why every estimate is followed by a free, itemised quote confirmed by our founders.
What does the per-sqft rate include?
The construction rate covers architectural and structural design, the full RCC structure to a 1.5 factor of safety, masonry, plastering, standard flooring and painting, basic electrical and plumbing, and 40+ working drawings. Add-ons like a compound wall, sump, solar or interiors are priced separately so you only pay for what you choose.
How are the EMI and monthly outflow worked out?
The EMI is calculated on your grand total as a 20-year (240-month) home loan at an indicative 7.1% annual interest. The monthly outflow figure adds a 20% buffer over the EMI to account for the everyday running and incidental costs of a new home, so you can plan your budget realistically.
Why is there no separate charge for drawings or design?
Architectural design and 40+ detailed construction drawings are included in every package at no extra cost. Good drawings prevent expensive mistakes on site, so we treat them as part of building well rather than an upsell. The calculator reflects this — the drawings line is always included.
Does the estimate change for Chennai versus Theni?
Our published package rates are the same across Theni and Chennai, so the calculator does not apply a city multiplier. Genuine site-specific factors — access, soil, local approvals and material logistics — are assessed and confirmed transparently in your detailed quote rather than buried in a blanket location surcharge.
